Founded in October 2022 by Monica Garrett, Garretts Scripted Corner was born out of love, resilience, and a mission to help others navigate the complexities of loss. Inspired by her own journey after the loss of her late husband, Monica found solace in writing literature, especially for children. Her young son’s questions about loss sparked a profound idea: to educate and comfort children through the power of stories.

Monica Garrett, M.A.
Monica Garrett, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, embodies resilience, dedication, and an unwavering passion for helping others. A retired United States Army veteran, Certified Grief Coach, public speaker, and accomplished author, Monica’s journey is one of transformation and purpose. With a master’s degree and a rich history of service, she has dedicated her life to guiding individuals and families through the profound challenges of grief and loss.

Monica’s story is deeply personal. In 2022, she founded *Garretts Scripted Corner*, an initiative born from her own healing journey after experiencing a significant loss. This profound experience became a catalyst for change, as she sought to provide solace and understanding to others—particularly children—facing similar challenges. Writing soon became her outlet and her mission, enabling her to address topics of loss and mental health in a compassionate and accessible way.
